Question: What band has the longest streak of winning consecutive Regional Championships?

Answer: The Centerville Jazz Band (2002-2006)

The Centerville Jazz Band won eight consecutive Regional Championships from 2002 to 2006, including Toledo, OH (2002), Massilon, OH (2002, 2005), Pontiac, MI (2003-2005), Youngstown, OH (2003) and Atlanta, GA (2004). Their streak was broken after placing fourth at the 2006 Atlanta Super Regional.

Even after longtime director and BOA Hall of Fame member Wayne Markworth retired after the 2004-2005 season, the band extended their streak to eight with wins at Massilon and Pontiac in 2005. The Centerville Jazz Band has participated in Bands of America events since 1983 and has been named a Regional Champion a total of 19 times. Additionally, the Centerville Jazz has been a Grand National Finalist 19 times and was the 1992 Grand National Champion.
