Harper Hamann, Clover Mitchell, Olivia O’Reilly, Ricardo Rivas, Chase Solari, and Tyeler-Reice Williams were chosen as the six drum majors of the Bands of America Honor Band that will perform in the 2026 Rose Parade®, presented by Honda.

Hamann, Mitchell, O’Reilly, Rivas, Solari, and Williams were members of the marching band, then submitted an application to audition for the chance to be a drum major. The application consisted of conducting, marching, and voice commands.

The Bands of America Honor Band is made up of 300 students from across the country. The ensemble is composed of winds, percussion, and color guard, which are all led by the drum majors.

The members will gather together for the first time on December 27 to spend a week in Southern California for rehearsals, performances at the Tournament of Roses Bandfest, special activities, and a featured appearance in the Rose Parade® on New Year’s Day and for broadcast worldwide.

2026 marks the 137th Rose Parade®, which will include the theme “The Magic in Teamwork.” The Bands of America Honor Band is one of 19 bands to march.

Richard Saucedo, composer, conductor, and retired director of the national champion Carmel H.S. (IN) marching band, is the director of the 2026 Bands of America Honor Band, with assistance from Dr. Melissa Gustafson-Hinds, director of bands at O’Fallon Township H.S. (IL).

The Bands of America Honor Band in the Rose Parade marched in the 2005, 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2022 Rose Parade. In 2009, they were part of the Rose Parade’s President’s Award-winning entry. The 2026 BOA Honor Band aims to make history by including members representing each of the 50 United States of America.
