Elyse Ackerman

Marketing Coordinator

Elyse Ackerman is currently a marketing coordinator at Music for All, specializing in graphic design, visual communications, branding, and signage. She has been working for the organization since 2022, and was a participant of Bands of America from 2012-2015 when she played clarinet in the Carmel HS marching band.

A graduate from Indiana University, Bloomington, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Media Advertising, with a specialization in Graphic Communications in 2020. During her time at IU, Elyse was a member of the Marching Hundred, a marching and movement visual instructor for the Carmel marching band, a graphic designer for the IU SZN fashion magazine, as well as a researcher for the IU Center for Underwater Science. Elyse contributed her media skills to perform photogrammetry on artifacts from the Dominican Republic, document shipwrecks in the Florida Keys, co-author rapid assessments, and write articles for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. These efforts in academic diving earned her a graduate certificate in Underwater Resource Management.

Outside of Music for All, Elyse holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and is a ten-time grappling champion, and two-time Indiana state champion. She also trains kickboxing and is working towards running her first marathon. At the end of the day, she enjoys playing chess, watching her favorite shows, and cuddling with her two cats, Miku and Beans.
