From the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet:

Westbound I-264 closed September 21-24 for pavement repairs

Additional ramp closure needed on eastbound I-264

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (September 20, 2012) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) reminds motorists that a portion of westbound Interstate 264 (the Watterson Expressway) will be closed this weekend for concrete pavement repairs.  Contract crews will be performing corrective work on a project that began last year.

The westbound lanes of I-264 will be closed between I-65 and Dixie Highway (mile points 12.0 and 7.4).  This road closure is scheduled from 10 p.m. EDT Friday, September 21, to 6 a.m., Monday, September 24.

During this closure, motorists traveling westbound on I-264 will be detoured via northbound I-65 to westbound I-64 and then reconnected with I-264.

All entrance and exit ramps for westbound I-264 will be closed at the Taylor Boulevard and Third Street/Southern Parkway interchanges.

In addition, the exit ramp from eastbound I-264 to Crittenden Drive will be closed this weekend for repairs.  This ramp closure will prevent access to the Louisville International Airport.  Motorists should follow the signed detour via eastbound I-264 to Poplar Level Road to westbound I-264.  Follow westbound I-264 to access Crittenden Drive and the airport.

The eastbound lanes of I-264 between Dixie Highway and I-65 are scheduled for closure the weekend of September 28- October 1.
