FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – February 25, 2025 – Instrumental and choral ensembles from local Indianapolis schools are coming together for three full days of music-making. The 8th annual Indianapolis School Music Festival begins on Wednesday, March 5 and runs through Friday, March 7 at Arsenal Tech High School. 

Supported by Music for All, students from IPS and schools in surrounding rural communities receive the opportunity to perform at no cost, receive feedback, participate in post-performance clinics led by Music for All clinicians, and watch performances by their peers. The Indianapolis School Music Festival performances are also free to the public. 

The 34 ensembles that will be participating include concert bands, orchestras, jazz bands, percussion ensembles, and choirs.

The Indianapolis School Music Festival is an integral component of Music for All’s partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools and furthers the mission to create, provide, and expand positively life-changing experiences through music.

This festival is held one week before the Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, where 59 ensembles representing 16 states from across the nation will gather and perform in downtown Indianapolis. For more information visit festival.musicforall.org
